The year of 2025 would be our 30th year as an official regional body of World Boxing Association.

Since 1995, WBA started independent regional activity for developing Asia boxing market through WBA PABA.
As of 2017, we updated the name as WBA ASIA due to environmental reasons.

During our 29 years of activities, we have developed new boxing markets such as China, Vietnam, Mongolia, etc. This dedicates a lot toward our beautiful sport of boxing.

Currently, WBA ASIA Ecosystem has been developing as the above diagram. We firmly believe one of our important roles is to connect between grassroot and international stages. In addition, we have focued on quality of title bouts, specially our regular titles are very exciting and close fights. Moreover, our proud WBA certificated ring officials are doing great work as neutral judgement.

We will improve our activities for upcoming years. Our new plan is not easy but we would try!
Only we can do with great WBA!!

Siro Choi successfully defended his WBA ASIA Lightweight title over world ranked no.11 Shuichiro Yoshino by TKO 11R. Siro knocked Shuichiro down once on 10th round, and the referee did good stop at 11R. Totally, very qualified title fight.

Score until 10R; Byung-Mu Kim 100-89, Mi-Ho Kang 98-91, Katsuhiko Nakamura 99-90. WBA ring officials did always best in boxing!!

Timur Bibilov acquired WBA ASIA CENTRAL Cruiserweight title by TKO 10R over Joshua Wasike in Chelyabinsk on April 18.
It was successful fight night and promoted by Ural Boxing Promotions.

Weigh-in done for WBA ASIA Lightweight title.
Siro Choi will have his 1st defense match against experienced Shuichiro Yoshino (WBA #11) tomorrow at Namyangju city. Both made their weights as 134.6lbs and 135lbs respectively. We expect this would be very competitive fight.

Ongen Saknosiwi (Indonesia, 13(11)-0(0)-0) succeeded WBA ASIA Super Featherweight regular title as of April 7, 2025. (Regular champion, Artur Subkhankulov switched his division to Lightweight)

Ongen acquired WBA ASIA SOUTH Super Featherweight title on Nov.30, 2024. He will have his 1st defense match on upcoming April 26 in Jakarta, Indonesia

Ivan Chirkov acquired WBA ASIA CENTRAL Featherweight title by UD over Nasibu Ramadhani in Yekaterinburg on March 15. Chirkov is very prospect by RCC Boxing Promotions who could take actions more! Cheers!

WBA ASIA did tremendous works for Asia.
7 male regular champions and 4 female regular champions are in WBA world ranking.

We try to develop Asian boxing market endlessly in the current difficult professional boxing market in Asia.
All of our boxers and promoters great endeavors plus WBA supports, our champions could be in world ranking as the above.

Our target should be 70% of male regular champion in world ranking. For this, we must have more active and qualified fights for our boxers' future. There is no easy way and short cut. Do your best, and we do our best.

Abdurasul is a great opponent, and he was a former challenger for WBA ASIA Lightweight title on 2019.
